OUR FISHERS
Like the Maori and Moriori fishers before us, our livelihood depends on the gentle coexistence with the marine ecosystem around the coast of New Zealand. Tātai Kōura work closely with fishers to modulate the quantities of crayfish that are brought in so as to match what our customers need against the known catching capacity of fishermen and availability of lobster stocks. Our deep analytics of lobster health and handling help to form best practices that are shared between our export plants and the fishers we partner with around New Zealand.
